ASHES
ASHES is an original serial audio-play / podcast written and produced by Andreas Frisch and Thomas Job and is now available on iTunes and Spotify and all other major podcast platforms.
It is set in a world ravaged by a pandemic and climate change, where a future generation is searching for Ashley Norman, who may hold the key to civilization’s survival.
The story poses hard questions about the choices humanity makes today and explores the potential consequences of those in real time. How far should science push boundaries in the quest for eternal life and what happens when we actually get there. What are the moral and ethical implications as well as the responsibilities we have towards nature and our future self.
Could there really be future human beings living amongst us, searching for the key to their own survival? Wouldn’t that cause a time paradox? How could they even survive in this environment and what could they be looking for?
These topics are explored via Ashley Norman, a girl from a small town who came to the city to find herself but then fell in love with Drake, a charismatic guy who claims to be from another dimension. Their love affair is intense and drug fueled and leads Ashley to believe that she may be the girl from the prophecy, holding the answer.
The ASHES project was born during the pandemic years of 2020 and 2021 and is intended to evolve from podcast to TV show and/or feature film.
