COMMERCIAL WORKS

I have selected a few spots from the last years to showcase a variety of my work as well as some that I enjoyed producing in particular.

A small, undeveloped, paradise island in the Caribbean with no hotels, and no tourists. A logistical challenge, for sure, but also pristine beaches, turquoise clear water and fresh langoustines every day and an amazing environmental vision that drove the whole project. A producer’s dream come true.

This Ruby Tuesday commercial, part of a larger series, was produced a while ago and it aged really well. The talent involved in making it was outstanding. A brilliant project for which the creative team and the client came together with a vision to execute something truly unique, outstanding and fun:

This client called me on a Monday and asked if we could pull off a video shoot in New Delhi, India for HSBC Asset Management within 10 days on a limited budget featuring an elephant. We did:

The same client collaborated with us on a series of commercials for a Fortune 500 company you have most likely never heard of called SPX. We traveled to Hong Kong, and to Rio de Janeiro, Brasil for this commercial:

Here is another one from the same team we shot in Cape Town, South Africa for the same client, SPX:

South Africa, in particular Cape Town, turned out to be an excellent production hub and even though it is far from New York, the locally available talent as well as the variety of locations and the weather conditions are ideal. I produced a series of commercials there for Bank of America. Here is my favorite one:

We even went as far as Mozambique to produce this gem of a commercial because Bank of America teamed up with Water.Org to support them in their mission. The title was a given:

The same client asked us to produce a series of animated and highly topical videos for Bank of America. We teamed up with some great animators and ended up producing over 30 of these. I have selected my favorites below:

The latest project I produced for this client was set in London where we needed to interview an expert on Mobility while he was walking all over town illustrating his points. We had only one day to spend with him and ended up covering 7 locations and produced 23 final videos. A classic run and gun scenario but all with permits and a gourmet lunch. Excellent crew and a ton of fun packed into one day:

Another very creative client of mine, worked on a campaign for Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in MA. What I loved about this campaign was the playfulness of the approach which used the symbol of the pill for medical care but in addition gave it a personality. We did a number of animated commercials for this campaign over the years and finally transitioned into a life action version at the end which was challenging but very rewarding. I am including three of those spots. The very first one at the top, followed by a more advanced one and finally the life action final:

I always enjoyed working with children, despite the well known cliché about not working with children and animals. You will find more of that work on my TV page. But here is a spot that was particularly fun to produce because it illustrates how kids can easily punch a hole in some overblown adult pompousness.

Girls rule:

Super Mario Bro’s and Nickelodeon’s Green Slime. Two challenges that were not easy to pull off. And there was a lot of slime to be cleaned up:

When I started out as a producer back in Switzerland, McDonald’s was one of my earliest clients and I have consistently produced for not only fast food but also casual dining chains like this one:

This is just a selection and there are many more and many more stories to go with, but I had to make a choice. If you are interested in seeing and finding out more contact me.
