TV + BRANDED CONTENT WORKS

My TV Work began as a production manager for Nickelodeon’s hit TV show: Blue’s Clues. I learned a lot about making content for children’s TV on that show and it served me well on all my subsequent projects.

Later, I was hired to produce an episode of that show on location in New York City, upstate on a bucolic farm and on the beach, which we shot on Coney Island.

A client who worked for a large international bank (Deutsche Bank) was interested in branded TV content featuring one of their analysts traveling around the world, visiting emerging markets and highlighting some promising economic developments there.

We put together a mobile team and sent them to 11 countries, including Russia, Vietnam, Mexico and Senegal, amongst others, and produced local content along the way featuring a beer brewery in Moscow, a fish farm in Vietnam a pig farm in China and many others. It was a logistical and cultural challenge but we delivered 12 Episodes on time and on budget and not a single flight was missed. The show aired on German cable TV: RTL.

The XPRIZE Foundation contacted us for branded content to help them with their Ocean Clean Up Efforts. We worked with Robert K Weiss, their Vice Chairman who produced the famous Blues Brothers movie, and in addition to many memorable stories we produced some very cool content together:

Books need videos too. Harper Collins worked with us to produce a couple of segments for their “Epic Reads” experience. Working with Abigail Breslin was truly ‘epic’.

Much of my TV work has been for children’s content. Some highlights are Nickelodeon, who hired us for multiple projects. For one of my favorites, we were asked to provide live action elements for their pre-school show: Team Umizoomi.

But the most rewarding and fun experience along the way has been a very long and a very close collaboration with the much beloved children’s TV show: Sesame Street.

We produced segments for: Murray had a Little Lamb – Elmo Pre-School is Cool – The Word on the Street – Mr. Noodles – and many other show segments. Mostly on location in and around New York City.

This collaboration culminated in our production of a series of commercials with Sesame Workshop and Fiat Chrysler for their Chrysler Pacifica Brand:

Bringing Sesame Street to Soho, New York. One of the best days on set ever. Matt Vogel, the amazing director, does his magic with Mr. Snuffleupagus and Oscar the Grouch in his fancy ride.

One of the best and greatest challenges we were given, was the development of original children’s TV content for Nickelodeon. One show, initially called NOOB and later renamed: CHASE CHAMPION we created together with acclaimed director: Michael Chaves, and produced 10 episodes. Here’s the teaser trailer:

Another more recent example is this short animated video for a sales consultant group called Swagger Sales.

Illustrating a series of complex processes in an original but engaging format was challenging but fun.
